Jarred has been playing the violin since he was seven, and has taken it upon himself to learn other instruments including the mandolin and guitar. For 9 years, Jarred was involved with the Calgary Fiddler's Association, which is a group of 15 young violinists who perform up to 100 times per year in and around Calgary. Jarred has had the privilege of performing in many places all around the world including Korea, Scotland, England, Ireland, Hawaii, Florida, and many other places around the U.S. and Canada. He has also performed for dignitaries such as H.S.H. Prince Albert of Monaco, former Prime Minister Jean Chretien, and the President of Yemen. Jarred has recorded five albums to date with his Calgary-based colleagues, and has taught at various fiddle camps and workshops.

Jarred has spent the last two years of his life studying music at Grant Macewan College in Edmonton, which is also where he met up with McKeever's Crossing, a professional celtic band he plays with. A full-time job in Calgary, working as assistant artistic director of The Calgary Fiddlers, and playing shows in Edmonton and Calgary with various artists keeps Jarred on the go.
